HVAC and renovation of headquarters building

The National headquarters building built in 1884 requires constant maintenance. During 2013 the roof was restored, repairing and replacing broken and missing slate tiles from the mansard roof and the flat roof over the “new wing” (1900) was recovered using a state-of-the art commercial membrane system. Mold and termite remediation projects were completed and air ducts were cleaned. Following completion, air quality experts tested and determined the air quality to be acceptable and non-hazardous. Garden level walls, ceiling tiles and flooring were completely replaced and the bathrooms were renovated.

Exploration into the feasibility of replacing the heating and air conditioning systems to alleviate the many concerns that disparate temperature and humidity levels can cause to our building and the many treasures it houses is underway.
