There is no better way to learn history than by hearing the stories and visiting the sites that made our country great. We, as Colonial Dames, can share the histories of our communities by marking historic sites for our own generation and generations to come. Look around your town and state and find appropriate sites and make application to the National Chairman after obtaining your chapter and state approval. Markings afford an excellent opportunity for public relations. Be sure to invite your local newspapers, your mayor and other community leaders.
